Water, the element of life, carries many symbols throughout the world – the most universal being fertility and power. It provides and sustains life, is the most abundant substance of our bodies, and covers our planet. It’s no wonder that a substance with such paramount embodiment brings to mind the beautiful essence of woman, and more specifically – motherhood.
Tasha’s inspiring lake side maternity session captures all of the wonderful elements of both the symbolism of water and beauty of motherhood. The natural setting and organic color palette makes for a perfect backdrop in capturing this wonderful moment in her life. Which pregnancy is this for you? First pregnancy
What’s the inspiration for your maternity shoot My husband and I love to travel and be close to the water. We wanted the baby shower to reflect the experience we have when we travel. So we decided to go with a nautical/beach theme baby shower. We fell in love with the theme so much we carried it out through the nursery and the maternity photos.
What aspect of motherhood are you looking forward to most? I love the bond that I already have with the baby. Just feeling him move and learning his little habits has been so rewarding. I can pretty much set a clock to the time he will move and know that he will always move to music! What I look forward to the most is creating a wonderful family with my husband, Phillip. I’m so blessed to have a partner who is so committed to myself and our baby boy. Phillip has been everything I could ever imagine to be in a husband and to see him just embrace the role of fatherhood has been simply amazing and continues to keep me at a lost for words.
