Timeless and regal was what Ashley, wife and mother to a 6-year-old girl, wanted for her luxe maternity session. It had been 6 years since she had her daughter, Zion, and for this pregnancy, she wanted a portrait session that would be memorable and uplifting.
She secured St. Louis based photographer Rae Marcel, owner of Rae Marcel Photography to give her photos an editorial look. Rae was able to secure the historic venue, The Neidhammer, in Indianapolis, and it ended up being the perfect backdrop for Ashley’s regal theme. We especially love the couture maternity gown and jeweled crown. Stylish mama! Honestly, every single photo we reviewed from this maternity session was extraordinary. My husband and oldest daughter participated in the photoshoot. I wanted it to be a family memory. It has been the 3 of us for 6 years, adding a new baby is a big deal.

Second pregnancy.
How far along were you when you did this photoshoot?
I was 7 months pregnant
How has this pregnancy been?
My pregnancy has been great thus far! Third trimester is definitely the hardest but I have no issues or complications so I am blessed!
Do you have other children? If so, what are their genders and ages?
I have one daughter who is 6.5 years old, who is very excited to be a big sister!
What’s the inspiration for your maternity shoot?
The inspiration for my maternity shoot was a royal theme. My daughter’s name is Zion which inspired me to do something royal.
What aspect of motherhood are you looking forward to most?
And use this area to tell us anything else you’d like about your pregnancy. I am really excited to be a Mommy of two! To be able to see my daughters build a relationship will be the best experience for me. Being a mom is the best job!
